Your tour guide

For those flying to Galicia, Spain, there are several airlines: e.g. Ryanair (direct flight from Frankfurt / Hahn (Germany) to Santiago de Compostela), or Air France (flights from Düsseldorf, Hamburg or Berlin via Paris to Vigo). From Vigo city center, buses run regularly to Santiago de Compostela.
If you would like to take part in the transfers, you need to plan your arrival and departure via Santiago airport. You are welcome to organize the arrival and departure on your own, or you can ask us to send you a nonbinding offer.
The tour guide might need to change the daily itinerary for organizational reasons or due to weather conditions.
The tour operator reserves the right to cancel the bike trip up to 14 days prior to departure date, if the indicated minimum number of participants could not be reached.
Semi-guided bike tour. With stunning views of the sea and coast, you cycle through a fascinating landscape, past sleepy coves and miles of beautiful beaches, dunes and lagoons, pine and eucalyptus forests, as well as authentic fishing villages.
During the whole trip, a support vehicle is nearby. Besides from booking the accommodations and the luggage transfer with us, you are also welcome to rent bikes from us. Our detailed Vuelta's info package provides you with everything you need to plan your daily itinerary any way you like.
Your tour guide welcomes you and picks you up from Santiago airport. Transfer to Noia, a town on the Atlantic ocean. Noia invites you to take a turn through its medieval historic old town and offers a variety of tapas bars and taverns.
The first stage leads you on quiet coastal roads to Muros, a fishing village widely known for its picturesque alleys and archways. You cycle along secluded coves and miles of beaches, which represent a great part of the western Galician coast. You pass Monte Louro, a peninsula with a distinctive, 220m tall double peak. You continue to Carnota, a tranquil seaside village, that is famous for one of the longest corn storage structure of Galicia and a 7 km long sandy beach (cycling distance: 49 km, total altitude gain: 250m).
On a scenic road, you cycle through the Carnota Nature Reserve. On your right, you pass the Celtic mountain O Pindo, an impressive granite mountain with bizarre shaped granite stones. On your left, you see natural white beaches by the turquoise sea. You finish your stage at Cape Finisterre (literally: end of the world), where, as the legend tells, the bones of Saint James landed by boat. (cycling distance: 48 km, total altitude gain: 400m).
At the far end of the Costa da Morte, today's cycling stage leads you past secluded coves and beaches to the coastal town of Muxia with its famous church Santa María da Barca. The church was built on big granite rocks on the Atlantic shore (cycling distance: 35 km, total altitude gain: 500m).
Along the coastline, you continue to the ragged Cape Vilán. From the lighthouse, you enjoy sweeping views of the coast, which is considered one of the most dangerous sections of the Costa da Morte. The small museum inside the lighthouse explains the cape's eventful history over the centuries. Sheltered in a small bay lies Camariñas, a picturesque harbor town where you spend the night. (cycling distance: 36 km, total altitude gain: 600m).
Today, you cycle to the small fishing village Camelle, where "Manfred's House" awaits your visit. Manfred was a German artist and hermit, who created a fascinating sculpture garden from round granite stones he found on the coast. This stage ends in Laxe, a bustling coastal village with a wide dune beach. (cycling distance: 41 km, total altitude gain: 260m).
Transfer to Santiago airport and individual departure, or you extend your stay, e.g. in Laxe or Noia.
